Hotfire serves home-cooked food from tried-and-tested recipes passed down over generations. Venison (antelope/buck) dishes are our speciality, prepared with the best cuts of fresh meat from the farm butchery.

An almost self-reliant establishment endeavours to serve seasonal fruit, vegetables and eggs that are produced on the farm; while our water comes from mountain springs or our borehole. (Bottled water is available and we will accommodate special dietary needs on request).


Breakfast features a choice of cereals, yogurt, fruit juice, fruit, cheese, bread and eggs.


Lunches are well balanced and packed for your convenience so you are prepared for your days hunt.


A three course meal in the dining room every night will provide you with the opportunity to enjoy a variety of venison dishes complimented by beautiful South African wines.
Hot coffee and a selection of teas are available at all times, while the Hoof & Horn bush canteen provides the chance to wet your whistle with its supply of cool drinks, beers, spirits and fine wines.
